Self-Reflection And Tarot

Self-Reflection And Tarot

Using tarot cards for self-reflection is a valuable and insightful practice. So many believe that tarot is some kind of fortune-teller type of nonsense. Those who do, could not be more wrong as far as I'm concerned! Tarot has changed my life and I now use my gifts, along with Tarot to help others in their journey with insightful confirmations about the energies surrounding them.

The following are my suggestions to you, and how I use Tarot in my personal life for insight and self-reflection:

Set Your Intention

   - Before starting a self-reflection tarot reading, set a clear intention. What aspect of your life or self are you looking to explore or gain insight into? Be specific about your question or focus.

Choose a Comfortable Space:

   - Find a quiet and comfortable space where you can concentrate without distractions. Light a candle or incense if it helps you create a serene atmosphere.

Shuffle and Draw Cards:

   - Shuffle the tarot deck while concentrating on your intention. When you feel ready, draw a card or a series of cards. You can use a specific spread designed for self-reflection, like a single card draw or a card for each aspect of your life (e.g., career, relationships, personal growth).

Reflect on the Card(s):

   - Take time to look at the card(s) you've drawn. Observe the imagery, symbols, and your initial feelings about the card. How does it relate to your question or focus? Is there a particular aspect of the card that stands out to you?

Journal Your Thoughts:

   - Keeping a tarot journal is incredibly helpful for self-reflection. Write down your thoughts and interpretations of the card(s). Explore what the card means to you personally, as it relates to your life situation.

Meditate and Contemplate:

   - Spend some time in quiet meditation, contemplating the card's message. Allow your intuition to guide you and uncover deeper insights. Pay attention to your feelings and emotions as you connect with the card.

Ask Follow-Up Questions:

   - If the initial card(s) raise more questions or areas for exploration, draw additional cards to gain further clarity. This can lead to a more in-depth self-reflection session.

Summarize and Set Intentions:

   - Summarize the key insights you've gained from the reading. Use this information to set intentions or goals for personal growth and self-improvement. Consider how you can apply the wisdom of the cards to your life.

Repeat Regularly:

   - Self-reflection with tarot is an ongoing process. Make it a regular practice, whether daily, weekly, or as needed. Over time, you'll develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your life's journey.

Trust Your Intuition:

   - Ultimately, trust your intuition. Tarot cards are a tool for self-discovery, and your inner wisdom plays a significant role in interpreting their messages. Your intuition will become more refined with practice.

Using tarot cards for self-reflection can be a powerful and illuminating practice. It allows you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and life circumstances from a fresh perspective and gain valuable insights into your inner world.

My personal experience through learning Tarot has deepened my connection to the Divine and my highest, most true self and I know it can for you as well. Peace, love and light soul family ✨
